A Place for Everyone

Every summer, over 2,000 Jewish campers from over 25 countries attend the Ronald S. Lauder Foundation AJJDC International Jewish Summer Camp in Szarvas, Hungary. This year, 45 Szarvas Fellows will be selected from North American high schools to represent North America at the camp. As American Ambassadors, they will have the unique opportunity to meet, celebrate, explore and share experiences with their Jewish student peers from around the world.

Szarvas

The camp is nestled on the banks of a beautiful river in the peaceful resort town of Szarvas, Hungary. Modern recreational, housing and kosher dining facilities are set amidst expansive landscaped grounds lined with ripe, fragrant fruit trees. The name Szarvas, pronounced "Sar_vash", is Hungarian for Deer.
